How to choose the right brake part for your vehicle

A brake part that looks like yours is not necessarily the right one. Here is the information that matters.

← All guides

Start from the vehicle

Year, make and model are the starting point. Within the same year, the engine, transmission or drive (2WD or 4WD) can change the part.

The vehicle identification number (VIN, 17 characters) settles any doubt: it is on the registration and at the base of the windshield, driver side.

Specify the position

Front or rear, left or right: parts are not interchangeable. A front left caliper is not the one for the rear right.

On our shop

Pick the year, make and model: only compatible parts are shown, and each product page confirms compatibility with your vehicle.

An incompatible part is taken back in its original packaging within 15 days of receipt. Return shipping is at the customer's expense.

Cannot find the part?

Tell us the vehicle and the part with the "Request a part" form: we search and reply with a price and a delivery time.

This advice is general. If in doubt, have your brakes inspected by a mechanic before driving.
